Ahh, the end of the third installment in this series. Oh how I enjoyed it! Well, sometimes my heart was squeezed and twisted as I read of the hero and heroine's misery - and oh my goodness, I truly did NOT see how the author would get them out of the messes they found themselves in! But she did. Brilliant plot and super writing. I had to keep telling myself - they WILL get together in the end, it's a romance! LOL, but I sure couldn't see how. So many good parts, teary parts, parts that left me on the edge of my seat hoping my Kindle's battery would last, and parts that made me sit back in the chair and sigh with pleasure. Once again, loved the attention to detail about planes, missions, army bases all over the world, the service itself, and history of the war. I now have a new favorite genre - WWII romance. For anyone who loves a good romance - and savors descriptive action, these books are for you. And I have a new favorite author - Sarah Sundin!

Good faith filled historical read with characters you care about. We each have our own thorns and Sarah Sundin gets deep and to the core of each of the characters wounds and wrong thinking about themselves and others. Interestingly enough, all three books are long and I caught myself wanting to jump ahead but God's road to healing and love is not a quick straight path and as humans we tend to meander and be a bit thick headed in our growth. Not to mention others He chooses to help us on our journey have their own thorns and healing as well. Very rich and complex. There is true beauty in the messiness of our lives and all of her books have this deeply interwoven throughout. Highly recommend!
This historical fiction follows the oldest of the three Novak brothers who served as pilots in WWII. Ray Novak is unsure of his bravery, but eventually is shot down and steals a German Me 262! Meanwhile in California, a widow deals with the ghosts of who she'd married and the secrets of his family. Racial injustice is also part of the satisfying story.
I read all three books in this series and loved them all. I'm sorry they have web ended - I feel like I've lost a friend.
Critics say these books are predictable- that's probably true. But I sure enjoyed the journey to
the "predictable"ending!
The author did her homework when it came to research and WWII air battles came to life in the
pages of these books.
I will definitely be reading more by this writer.
If I could give this book more than 5 stars, I would!! This is the 3rd book in the Wings of Glory series by Sarah Sundin. I found it to be the perfect ending for the trilogy! Excellent!! It's the perfect blend of WWII action, sweet romance, and a beautiful Christian message! Honestly, when I finished this book, I had a hard time saying good-bye to the now well-loved characters. I was so sorry to be finished getting to know them, but what an adventure while it lasted!! I laughed, I almost cried, and I thoroughly enjoyed it!! I would recommend this series to ANYONE who likes historical romance novels! You won't be disappointed! And if you're looking for a clean, Christian love story, there's definitely one here!! I absolutely loved each of the three Wings books, and I would recommend that if you are going to read this one that you start with the first two, but each can also be read as stand-alone novels. (If you have already read the first two books in this series and are wondering about this last one, know that it's every bit as good as its predecessors! And if you want to know more about the characters from the first two books and how their stories ended, this one offers multiple peeks back into the lives of Walt, Allie, Jack, and Ruth.) For an author who was just starting out when she wrote these, Sarah Sundin delivers a delightful treat for Christian historical fiction lovers everywhere! Well done, Sarah! I cannot write highly enough about these books! You'll just have to read them yourself to understand why!
After reading the other two books in this trilogy, I have to say this one started off a little slower to build the story’s foundation ...But... it was worth it. After about the first quarter of the story the pace really picked up, so much so that I had a terrible time putting the book down at bedtime.

I believe that Ms. Sundin did a great deal of research to describe some of the causes of family disfunction. I recommend this book.
As are all of Ms. Sundin's books, Blue Skies Tomorrow is splendid. The only problem that I have with these books is that once I start reading them, it's difficult to be disciplined enough to put them down! But, once I've finished reading each book, I am sad; I want the story to continue. I have actually read several of them the second time as soon as I've finished the book the first time. My intention is to read each trilogy again starting today, as I have now read all Mrs. Sundin's published books at least once. Ms. Sundin is an excellent writer. Her historical details, characterizations, plot, and descriptions of the characters' emotions and physical reactions are wonderful. I love how she describes each character's physical poses in different scenes. I love how she describes each character's struggle with himself - struggles from which I have learned myself how to cope with spiritual and emotional issues. I love how Ms. Sundin uses details of history in each story - usually little known events. Ms. Sundin also weaves into the story some social issue that needs to be recognized and remediated; however, she does not make this an overwhelming part of the story line. Ms. Sundin does not idealize situations; each character suffers loss in some way. But, Ms. Sundin does follow the Scriptural admonition in Philippians 48 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
