In all honesty Book 2 just wasn't as good of a read (to me) as Book 1. It was a little slow at first, but somewhere near page 60 things started picking up... However, I really found myself wanting to shake Morgan. Yes, we all have our issues and no we are not perfect. But sometimes you really need to open up your eyes and see what is before you, AND learn from your mistakes. Granted part of the story is that Morgan will eventually do just that, but it was a little too slow going for me, and not quiet as humorous as Book 1. That said, I know there are others who would not agree with me, as I have read their reviews online. To some, this was their favorite book in the series. I guess you will just have to read it for yourself to decide!

I will add one last thought... She did wrap things up nicely in the end and left me with a smile and satisfied with the outcome.

I am sorry to ruin the high raiting but for me this book is a torture, I am not even sure I'll be able to finish reading it ... it's such a pain to read this book.
And what's up with all the being Catholic thing .... there is too much religion in it, and I am not saying it because religion is a bad thing, but only because if I wanted to read about Jesus and the Church I would have bought a book about it ... this is supposed to be a fun novel but it is too concentrated on the girl's religion .... I would have probably appreciated it more if the writer added people from other religions and would have talked about it, instead ... she mentions that one guy is Catholic but his parents are not .... (how did that happen?!) and they are not happy that he is, but it doesn't mention what the parents are.

Horrible, horrible book. Doesn't flow, I don't like the way the author writes, it's not funny at all, just a pain to get through with it!

I won't buy other books from this author.
This book took me a little bit to get into but was a good read and the last third of the book was really good.

As a fan of Billerbeck's work, I wasn't let down. This was a pure pleasure read with a deft touch of spiritual insight covered in a droll humor that left me laughing out loud. Can't wait for Book #3 Calm, Cool, and Adjusted!
#2 in the series of Spa Girls - a great read about a young single girl trying to make it in California.
I am not much of a reader, so when I do read, I really try to go for something I will feel was worth the time I spent sitting there. Not a chance with this one!

First of all, I sought out the spa girls series because I was introduced to Billerbeck's books from her What a Girl Wants series. I assumed this one would also be candid, funny, and engaging, based on that collection. I was SORELY disappointed. The first of the series, She's All That, was, but this one was boring, outlandish, and completely ridiculous. The plot moved so slowly I felt that at over halfway through the book, nothing had really changed since the first chapter.

I kept reading, determined to finish what I started with a glimmer of hope that the next chapter would prove more interesting or make up for the first half. Not even once. By the time I finished this book, I was angry, annoyed, and completely frustrated that I had wasted my time! Not to mention the money I wasted investing in collecting the series!!! If only there was a way to get my money and life back!
From the outside, Morgan Malliard seemed to have it all ~ diamonds at her disposal, a father whom seemed to do anything for her...or did he?!? When you find out in the novel that Morgan's father had her sign papers about tax evasion/fraud, I was like, WHAT!?!!!?!? What an unexpected TWIST...and then when he threw the paperweight at her head that landed Morgan in the hospital...WOW, what a father, eh?!!?!!? I just LOVE the Spa Girls, and seeing what will happen next in their adventures.....be sure that you don't miss the 3rd book in the series, "Calm, Cool & Adjusted".....
